When I elected S-corp status for my consulting firm, I had to set my own reasonable salary. The AI chatbots I tried gave me numbers that didn't match public wage data. My accountant then referred me to an online report that cost almost $500. It was basically broken on my phone, it came back for the wrong tax year, and when I finally had the right one, I couldn't trace its figures to a source.
